Thegoddamnbader, Supersuited, Farmer With A Cape and others asked about whoever was running this Tumblr; whether it was more than one person, where the images come from, etc. Plus, as it’s a new year, here’s a quick rundown of the blog for everyone who’s recently joined:
The Chronological Superman covers every appearance of the Man of Steel in every form of media from his debut in 1938 through the end of 1949 - his pivotal golden age incarnation.
TCS is operated and every article is written by Jonathan Morris, a Washington-based cartoonist and lifelong Superman fan. The purpose of the blog is to create a holistic image of Superman in his early days, not only by looking at what happens to the character in the context of his stories, but also juxtaposing him with the histories of his creators and the state of the culture at the time.
Images are collected from internet resources, library scans and original source material. These sites and sources have been essential in crafting the content of this blog:

The blog is currently in the middle of 1942, and delivers three new articles a week.
